Forsyth-Cumming Optimist Club
2011 Oratorical Contest
After competing in their classes, then at their school,  Ryan McWilliams from South HS and Jessica Gerber from Lambert HS competed against the other middle and high schools winners in the county to become the Oratorical winners for our club. There were over 3,200 students who prepared and gave speeches.  Sarah will be competing at the District Contest on April 30 in Warner-Robins for a chance for a $2,500 College Scholarship. All the students did an excellent job with their speeches this year where the topic was "If I Were Leader of the Free World, the First Issue I Would Address Would Be...". The skills these young people have learned will help them to go far in life.
